On April 19th we had our Miss Ohio Forum in sunny (but not that day) Mansfield, OH! I was so excited to see some of my friends I haven't seen in almost a year and spend the day with them! As contestants we are required to be there to receive all of our information about Miss Ohio Week and the weeks events, about being Miss Ohio, and the ever nerve wracking Contestant Lottery where we pick our competition order! This year I am Contestant #16. This means I am in Flight #2 competing in Interview in the afternoon of Tues. June 17th, Evening Gown/ On-Stage Question June 18th, Talent June 19th and my favorite, Swimsuit on June 20th. Then on Saturday June 21st we will have a new Miss Ohio!
I was very impressed yet again by our Forum this year. It was extremely well organized and I must say one of the most informative and personally the most inspiring I have been to. The President of Miss Ohio, Steven Oliveri especially inspired me with his comments about choosing the right woman for the job of Miss Ohio and what they are looking for in their titleholder. I was also blown away by my friend, and current Miss Ohio, Roberta Camp. I have always been a Roberta fan, even when I was rooming with her and competing with her, but WOW! Not only did she look fabulous, but it is unbelievable to see how she has grown by being Miss Ohio. It is always remarkable to me to see how much a woman changes by being Miss Ohio, and Roberta is no exception, all I can say is Wow, and Congratulations Roberta!
I'm very Excited about Miss Ohio Week this year and sharing it with my family and especially my Miss Ohio friends. Although we are all competing with each other, I'm excited to spend the week with each of them and make some new friends along the way! I will keep everyone posted!
