Congratulations to the 5th graders of St. Joseph's Maumee and St. Patrick's of Heatherdowns for completing your 10 week D.A.R.E. program & pledging to stay away from drugs, alcohol, tobacco and violence, and a special congrats go to the essay winners! I had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem and speak about staying substance and violence free and 'Discovering Y.O.U.' at the D.A.R.E. graduation last night! What a lovely event to recognise our boys and girls who have completed the D.A.R.E. program and honor their pledge to stay substance and violence free! A special thank you to the parents, the teachers & principals at both schools, Mayor Wagener, the D.A.R.E. officers, and all of the other guests for allowing me to be a part of such a special event! Great job kids, we are so proud of you!
