This weekend was Miss Ohio Contestants/ Community Service Weekend! Friday we spent the evening chatting with Miss Ohio 2007, Roberta Camp, and learning about all of the other contestants! We had a great time. We also found out that the new Miss Ohio will receive a new car and a brand new villa at Primrose Retirement Community for her year as Miss Ohio!!! Everyone is very grateful for these wonderful and generous donations to the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program and VERY excited! The next Miss Ohio will be a very lucky woman! After all the excitement we went to stay with host homes for the evening, and I had so much fun with Robyn and Theresa! Thank you for opening your home to us! "Whoodee-Hoot!" :-)
On Saturday morning, I was lucky enough to be placed for the day with our new sponsor, Primrose, and had the chance to see the new villa. It was awesome to say the least. At Primrose, we served lunch (my favorite- stuffed peppers) to the residence and then sang for them! We toured the facilities and had a great time with some of the residence. I met a few very special friends, Jim, Jerri, & Gene, when I was there as well, and look forward to going back to see them again soon! We then went on to our Bowl-a-thon and played a few games...or tried at least! It was a blast to hang out with the contestants and my family and to make some new friends.
